GIS Guest Expert Emma Hadrovic is a political and legal senior advisor and permanent representative to the EU for ITD, the association for the Danish road transport of goods. She is in charge of European Union single market and competition policies, dealing with political and legal matters such as national measures against the EU’s single market.
Emma is also involved in enforcement policies and is a member of the executive board of the Confederation of Organisations in Road Transport Enforcement (CORTE). She is also vice president of the Danish Association of Lawyers and Economists in Belgium.
She has presented her research and legal and political analyses on various transport policies at numerous EU ministerial conferences and is a frequent guest speaker in the European Parliament. She comments regularly on EU road transport developments in Danish and European newspapers.
Her research and writing interests include the aviation and maritime sector, the EU’s single market, competition policies and international trade.
Prior to her appointment in ITD, Emma worked for the Permanent Representation of Denmark to the EU in the department of transport, for the law firm Andersen & Partners in the department of litigation and transport and for the University of Southern Denmark in the department of law.
Emma has an LL.M. degree from the University of Southern Denmark where she gained specialization in the field of international trade law, international transport law and EU law.
